About findpoweroutage.com
An independent, free tracker of power outages across the United States, built from utilities' own public outage data.
What this site does
When the power goes out, the first question is whether it's just you, and the second is how big it is. This site answers both for any U.S. ZIP code, city, county or state, using the numbers utilities publish on their own outage maps.
We check 52 utilities every 10 minutes. Together they serve about 65,306,677 customers. Each page shows how many customers are without power right now, which utilities serve the area, and how often the area has had significant outages since 2014.
findpoweroutage.com isn't affiliated with any utility or government agency. For an emergency, such as a downed power line, call 911 and your utility. To report your own outage so it gets fixed, contact your utility directly; utility pages here link to their outage maps.
